I finished my first zencolors tile. Here it is. I used the same patterns that I learned in  my first class, but added colors. I like.

I just started taking a four-part ZenTangle class with my friend Mimi Lempart. I've been reading about it for awhile on the web, so I decided to give it a try. My first reaction: I need stronger reading glasses! Here are my first two "tiles" with the 8 patterns we learned at the first class, and also a work in progress in which I experimented with watercolor pencils.

Mandala Class

I'm working on a new workshop curriculum that combines nature journals with "loupe looking". I purchased 25 Private Eye loupes (5x) and will be testing them out with children at the Gill Library next month. I've been playing in my studio with loupes and wild-flowers that I find on my daily walks. See more photos at Flikr. What does this remind you of??
